This module is not intended to replace the traditional 3.5 day Dependency Curriculum Program. Its purpose is to assist Judges new to hearing Dependency cases prior to attending the course, and to serve as a reference for those who have completed this module.

Objectives
Upon the completion of this program the user will be able to:

• Manage a Dependency case from the filing of the petition through dismissal.
• Apply the relevant State and Federal Statutes.
• Hold hearings in compliance with statutory time frames.
• Make key findings and decisions required at each hearing.
• Exercise the oversight responsibility imposed on the court by law.
• Identify the persons who need to attend each hearing and the information needed by the court.
